Dear Families,
We recently accepted the challenge to be Team Members in the Climbing4 Miracles 2008 Mount Kilimanjaro Expedition. We will be joining a team of individuals to climb the highest mountain in Africa in October of 2008. However, reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro is only half of our goal. We also have a goal to raise a minimum of $50,000 for the Climbing4 Miracles Expedition, which is a an event to raise funds to help fund free programs and education through the ‘Myles’ Miracle Mission - CANcer Assist Wellness Centre.

Did you know that 1 in 2 men, and 1 in 3 women, will develop cancer in their lifetime. In the next 10 years the World Health Organization estimates that cancer rates will increase by 70% !!

The Climbing4 Miracles Expedition hopes to make a tangible impact on the lives of those affected by cancer, whether it is through education or programs, or alleviating some of the financial burden patients and their families face when they must travel to obtain proper cancer treatment. Myles’ Miracle Mission - CANcer Assist likes to think that their small gifts fill in the cracks left behind by organizations that make much larger gifts to research.
